Description
Luxury villa with private pool in Nerja centre
Imagine: step out the door, turn left, walk 80 metres and... lay down on the beach! Alternatively, you may also sit down at a terrace for a cold sangria! It's all possible: this wonderful villa is located in calle Carabeo, in the very heart of Nerja. You will have your own private pool with a sun terrace while enjoying magnificent views out to the beach and the Mediterranean.
Location and outside area
No rental car needed at this villa: it's only a 2 minute walk to restaurants, shops, tapas bars, and the beaches such as playa Carabeillo and playa Carabeo. Still the house does have its own private parking. In case you prefer to visit the highlights of Andalusia without driving then you can book a guided excursion or take public transport at the bus station only 800 m away. The villa is provided with a spacious terrace with sun loungers and private pool (6x8 m) and a smaller cocktail pool (You may ask what a cocktail pool is? Well, a cocktail pool is simply a pool providing the perfect place to lounge and have a cocktail or two.) A large sun screen covers the dining area making it a perfect spot to enjoy a lunch in the shade; a barbecue and patio furniture are provided. A few steps down from the sun terrace you will find a garden with lawn and exceptional views to the beach below. At the end of the garden there is a lovely chill-out area with garden chairs with ocean views to the Balcón de Europa.
For families with children it will be good to know that there is also a shared pool (visible on one of the pictures) where the kids can make new friends. On the first floor is another sun terrace with the same splendid sea views, only accessible through the double bedroom.
Notes:
* The City Council of Nerja has the intention to cut Carabeo Street with a poller in the near future. At this moment we do not know if the street, and thus the parking, will be accessible for the guests, since there is a lack of information on the part of the City Council. The community of property owners is claiming that access will be granted but it is soon to know if this will be solved in a positive way. In case access to the parking of the villa finally would not be possible, then we nor the property owner can not be held responsible. Should this happen, then you can park your car at "Parking Carabeo", a very large parking lot just behind Calle Carabeo, at 3 minutes walk. There is a special price for 7 days (please ask us for approximate prices).
* In the second week of October, lasting from 4 to 5 days, you will be able to attend the Feria de Nerja (Nerja fair). For the duration of the fair, the fairgrounds in the centre of Nerja are covered in rows of casetas (individual decorated marquee tents which are temporarily built on the fairground). During the fair, you will find people (many ladies and some men in traditional flamenco outfit arriving on horse) partying and dancing "Sevillanas", drinking Jerez sherry, or manzanilla wine, and eating tapas. So, this is an attractive event, but it also has to consequences that may not be so attractive: The private parking next to the villa will not be available from a few days days before and during the fair because the calle Carabeo will not be accessible. If you bring a car, you can try to find a spot in the surroundings or we can offer you a free parking at Marina Turquesa apartments (at 1,5 km from the villa). You may suffer nuisance from the noise of fair (music etc). We estimate this will not affect you very much as the villa is at a prudent distance from the area, but we are not able to guarantee anything.
Inside and lay-out
The villa is built on two floors and comfortably furnished with good taste and marble floors. On the ground floor is a luminous living room with large size LCD-TV with DVD and satellite reception. From the living room you have sea views and direct access to the sun terrace. The living room is connected to a dining-corner equipped with an open fire place and to an open space kitchen furnished with a ceramic hob, dishwasher, oven, microwave, and fridge/freezer. The washing machine is located in the laundry room where you will also find an iron and ironing board. On the ground floor you will find a shower room (with WC and washbasin) and a twin bedroom with direct access to the sun terrace and marvellous ocean views.
On the first floor there is a spacious master bedroom with a large walk-in wardrobe and a double bed. The ensuite bathroom is equipped with an over bath shower (with views to the Balcón de Europa!), WC, and basin. The third bedroom is provided with a double bed, a large LCD-TV, and a spacious private sun terrace with sea views. A bathroom with a double-sized bath, shower, WC, and 2 washbasins corresponds to this bedroom. The fourth bedroom is a twin that makes use of the fourth bathroom, fully equipped with over bath shower, WC, and basin.
The villa is equipped with air conditioning and WiFi internet connection.

With glorious views across the enchanting landscape and surrounding hills, this is the perfect villa for summer living! The interior has been tastefully furnished with a rustic style living/dining room, a large, well equipped kitchen, and even a whirlpool in one of its bathrooms! Location and outside area Situated in peaceful surroundings, this charming two storey villa is set in a walled garden within a short drive from Burriana beach (2 km) and Nerja's shops and restaurants (2 km). It is a bit tired as previous reviews and the showers are not great, no pool towels either. However beds very comfy and the pool and different areas to sit in the garden superb and honestly the views were outstanding. Thanks Ralph for sorting taxis and being so helpful!

What really stands out about this property is the location and views. The views were spectacular and we enjoyed these from the front bedrooms and garden area. A really beautiful garden right on the edge of the cliffs overlooking the sea, directly ovesee more

A really beautiful garden right on the edge of the cliffs overlooking the sea, directly over one beach but the property is walkable to many beaches and 5 minute walk to the town with its shops and restaurants. Such a beautiful town and very lively for the Christmas holidays. The property is a little dated, with 80s styling and a little tired but that didnt matter. The only thing which could do with improving is the beds which were uncomfortable. Overwise an amazing stay.

It is not often that an accomodation turns out to be better than in pictures, but this is one of those rare cases. The location is simply breathtakingly beautiful, the garden larger than it looks in the pictures, and the house spacious and convenientsee more

The location is simply breathtakingly beautiful, the garden larger than it looks in the pictures, and the house spacious and convenient. Nerja is a beautiful town, and the location is probably the best in Nerja. The street is very quiet and picturesque, yet literally five minutes walk from the very center. A small shop is a minutes walk, and restaurants are everywhere. Our family of five (incl. 3 adult children) fitted easily in the four bedrooms, and everything functioned well.

Add perfectly appointed bathrooms and a walk-in wardrobe. Best of all though is the location. Sat on a cliff top overlooking the beach, with great views of the Balcon at night. The beautifully manicured and landscaped gardens are huge! Plateaued on separate levels with twin pools (the larger overflowing into the smaller), there is seating for many with sun loungers, tables and canopied areas. The setting is perfect and extremely private! Quiet at all times of day and night and yet a 2 minute stroll into Nerja!

This villa is in probably the best location in Nerja, within easy walking distance of a number of restaurants. The garden and pools are lovely with fantastic views towards the Balcon de Europa. As there were only two of us we had plenty of choice of see more

As there were only two of us we had plenty of choice of bedrooms but we would say that the villa is probably best suited to 4 adults and 4 children as two of the bedrooms are quite small with hardly any room to store/hang clothes. In addition there are only 4 sunbeds in the garden. Overall though it was a lovely place to stay and we will certainly consider returning in the future.

We have just had 8 wonderful days at this villa. It has to have been one of the best weeks of my life. The villa and situation are both superb. My husband wanted a villa with a garden, pool and bar b q.. My teenage sons wanted to be in the town whersee more
We have just had 8 wonderful days at this villa. It has to have been one of the best weeks of my life. The villa and situation are both superb. My husband wanted a villa with a garden, pool and bar b q.. My teenage sons wanted to be in the town where they could be out and about with no taxi costs. Our 10 year old wanted to be on the beach. I wanted it all and got it all !! Not an easy task .. But this super villa ticked all the boxes and more. Right in the centre of beautiful Nerja and on the water.. Views are to die for .. And the beautiful sound of the water to wake up to.. I miss it and wish we were there now.

The garden and pool area are fantastic and if you plan to stay outside for most of your vacation this is fine.
Internally the property hasnt been updated since the 1980's. Most of the electrics don't work and the heating system is weird.

There was no duvet cover supplied for any of the double beds. The washing machine broke down and took 4 days to get fixed. Casistas in general (Ralph especially) were very good but we could not recommend this property. |
