This is a charming and independent villa that is clearly very loved by its owners, Dolores and Sebastian. Once you get here, you will agree that this is not "just another holiday villa". Both the inside and the outside are well maintained and meant for long term living, creating a very comfortable ambience that includes air conditioning and WiFi internet. The beaches of Nerja and the shops in Frigiliana are a convenient 5-10 minute drive away.
Location and outside area
Set amidst avocado and olive groves, the villa nestles on a hilltop in the countryside west of Frigiliana (3 km), offering impressive views on the whitewashed village and far reaching views out to the Mediterranean. The villa is accessed by a concrete track that leads through the lush and green landscape. Frigiliana is an adorable village of narrow, cobbled streets, small squares, and typical Andalusian houses with colourful flowers. The village offers a good selection of shops, tapa bars, and good restaurants. The famous beaches of Nerja are 7 km away.
The villa offers several outside seating areas on 2 levels. On the ground floor level, you can just stroll out the kitchen to a lovely patio corner with a barbecue and dining amenities for 6, a perfect setting to enjoy your alfresco meals or to read a book in the shade. On a lower level, you will find a spacious sun-terrace surrounding the private pool (7x4 m). The garden area includes a small lawn with a fish pond and a little garden house for children. Sun loungers are provided.
Inside and lay-out
The dedication of the owners to the outside areas of this villa is also reflected in its interior. With the rooms divided over 2 floors, this it is a very comfortable spacious villa. The furniture and the decoration are of excellent quality and have been chosen with an eye for detail, creating a homy feeling.
Ground floor:
The living room has been decorated in a classical Spanish style with high ceilings and typical floor tiles. There is very comfortable seating and the open fireplace will warm up the villa on the cooler days in off-season, whilst the air conditioning will be a welcomed feature on the hotter days. Further amenities such as central heating, TV, and DVD player are available.
The spacious kitchen/dining room gives access to the living room on one side and to the outside patio on the other. The kitchen's decoration uses wood and Andalusian tiling and is well equipped with a vitro hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. The washing machine, iron, and ironing board are in a utility room. On this floor you will also find a shower room with WC and sauna.
First floor:
The master bedroom has a double bed and is particularly tastefully decorated with a beamed ceiling and a beautifully tiled ensuite bathroom with an over bath shower, single basin, WC, and bidet. The other 2 bedrooms are twins and share a full shower room.

Walk to Frigiliana in 5 minutes! This charming farmhouse is just a short walk from Frigiliana where you will find plenty of restaurants, tapas bars, and family-run shops. Nevertheless, its location is very quiet, set amidst olive and avocado trees and enjoying full privacy. Inside, this cortijo has been built in the Andalucian style: thick outside walls, beamed ceilings and decorated in ochre sienna and sky blue colours—modern day comfort… with traditional rustic charm. Location and outside area Situated near the historic village of Frigiliana, this is a beautiful 3-bedroom traditional cottage surrounded by lush avocado orchards, which gives this lovely place a Hansel and Gretel feel. The cottage is in a secluded location and yet only a 5-minute walk from the village making it the ideal location for those who want a country retreat but with easy access to all the village amenities. Set in its own grounds, this villa offers you pleasant summer evenings eating al fresco next to the private pool with views to Frigiliana. A large shaded verandah with outdoor furniture in the front of the house provides an area for comfortable al fresco dining. Alongside the house, there is a small summer kitchen with a built-in BBQ and a second dining area with elegant teak furniture. The cottage has a large pool (4x7.5 m long and 1x1.5 m deep) with a lawn area and a pretty sun terrace—sun loungers are provided for sun bathing and relaxing. The accommodation is also ideally located for exploring the impressive Moorish heritage of the Andalucian cities of Granada, Sevilla and Cordoba, amongst others. The town of Nerja and its beaches can be reached in 10 minutes by car. Inside and lay-out The house dates back to the beginning of the 20th century. It served as a stable for the mules needed to work in the countryside. The current owners, Jose Manuel and Pilar, inherited it and fully renovated it in 2006 with great care in the true Andalucian tradition. The thick walls, beamed ceilings, terracotta floors, and Spanish tiles create a delightful ambience. On the ground floor you will find an open plan living room with a large sofa, wood-burning stove and satellite-TV. The kitchen is small but well equipped with a 4-ring vitro hob, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer and microwave. The washing machine is set outside. There is a double bedroom on this floor and a shower room with WC and basin. On the second floor there are two romantic twin bedrooms with wooden ceilings and plenty of wardrobe space. Ten minutes walk to Frigiliana, via a somewhat adventurous country trail. Don't turn around when you drive to the villa for the first time. It takes a bit to get here by car, but it's well worth the journey! Once you are here, the owner will show you the way to Frigiliana across the valley, only a ten minute walk. The views and tranquility are exceptional, whilst inside the villa combines comfortable furnishings with a tasteful decoration. It's one of those places where you feel at home away from home. Location and outside area This newly built villa is positioned on a hillside opposite the white village of Frigiliana and surrounded by avocado trees, enjoying a very quiet location. The outside area offers a built-in BBQ and a good size pool (7x4 m) up a few Roman steps. There is plenty of space for sunbathing while enjoying the stunning views over the countryside and the village. Sun loungers are provided. Adjacent to the living room is another terrace for those looking for shade, with dining amenities and views. The villa is accessed by a concrete path that leads down from the Frigiliana – Torrox road, with a few steep sections. Although there aren't many curves, we recommend you drive a car with at least a 1.4 L motor. Frigiliana (3.5 km) is approx. a 5 minute drive; however, if you prefer giving your car a holiday, there is a countryside trail to the village, only a 10 minute walk away (good shoes are needed as this walk has some difficulties - the trail is not recommended during night time because there are no lights along the path). The famous beaches of nearby Nerja are just 10 km away, a 15 minute drive. Inside and lay-out The comfortable and cosy open plan living/dining/kitchen area with views to Frigiliana has two French doors opening onto a covered terrace. The living room has a sofa for 4 persons, open fireplace, a rocking chair, and is provided with satellite TV and music equipment. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge/freezer, ceramic hob with 4 rings, microwave, oven and dishwasher. The bedrooms (1 double, 2 twins) are decorated in a soothing style with colourful textile bedcovers and paintings. There is a full bathroom with an over bath shower, basin, and WC, and a shower room with basin and WC. A wood-burning stove and mobile electric heaters are available for the cooler days in off-season. WIFI internet connection provided! This villa was absolutely immaculate. A well presented, three bedroom villa down a fun dirt track. The pool is absolutely delightful with several comfortable sun loungers and wonderful views over the valley, mango groves and the sea. For kids there is a little playhouse by a pond and a couple of rope chair swings. Outside there is also an outside kitchen, two different dining areas, a hammock and a table tennis table. The villa feels really spacious so it's easy to find some space to chill on your own. The bedrooms are well appointed, with comfortable beds, good wardrobe space and air conditioning. At night it is really peaceful. During the day you have Frigiliana just a 5 minute drive away. Frigiliana is a beautiful white mountain village which is great for walking around, shopping and finding a restaurant with views. Back down the mountain and you have Nerja which has some beautiful grey sand coves with crystal clear water. We also popped to Granada for some flamenco dancing and to see the Alhambra (just over an hour away). We ate out for lunch most days and ate dinner in the villa in the well equipped kitchen at night. All in all a super autumnal trip to a wonderful villa in Southern Spain.

Charming and rustic but not shabby with a lovely Spanish vibe at every turn. Kitchen is well stocked, beds comfy and AC that takes the edge off. Sebastian and his wife are amazing supplying some great local produce and essentials when we got in and showing us around. One point to note the drive to the villa is along a very windy dirt track and in some cases not for the faint hearted. Would definitely recommend a 4 wheel but a study car would also be fine. Frigiliana is a gorgeous town with some great restaurants with stunning views. Check out La Taperia!
