This excellent quality villa is situated on the edge of the Cazorla's Natural Park, well known for its dramatic sceneries, waterfalls and deep gorges. The villa nestles on a hillside and enjoys glorious views of the surrounding valley and the little trout river below. The villa is well isolated and has under floor heating, making this an excellent all-year-round accommodation.

Location and outside area

With nothing more than the sound of the river below and goat bells tinkling in the distance, this is truly the place for total rest and relaxation—an attractive former farmhouse surrounded by olive groves and with magnificent views over the valley. The village of Pozo Alcon (1.5 km) is only 5 minutes away by car or 25 minutes on foot and is the most southern village of the Cazorla Natural Park. The park was designated a UNESCO biosphere reserve in 1983 and made a natural park in 1989. The area is very popular for hiking, canoeing, climbing, and fishing. Water seems to be everywhere in and around the park where you will find many lakes, reservoirs, and waterfalls like the Salto de los Órganos or the Cascada de Linarejos. There are some gorges as well and it’s not unusual to see wildlife such as wild boars, mouflons, and red deer. The villa is just a short drive away from all this beauty and offers a tempting private pool (10.5x5.25 m) and a sun-terrace with sun loungers for the days you prefer to stay "at home". The terrace is partly surrounded by big windows offering good shelter on windy days. There is also a barbecue area with a dining table for 6 and a refrigerator/freezer. In the front, you will enjoy a shaded veranda, the ideal place for a lazy siesta. If you are tempted by a day trip to an interesting city, then make sure you don’t miss the Alhambra Palace in Granada and the cities of Baeza and Ubeda. The nearest airport is in Granada (119 km), but you may also use the airports at Malaga, Almeria, or Murcia. Note: if it is your first visit, we suggest that you arrive in daylight, as the last kilometre to the house is an unsurfaced track with no lighting. However, the track is fairly level and there are clear directions along the way. In addition we can arrange for you to be met in the village and escorted to the house, given reasonable notice.

Inside and lay-out

The villa is divided in two floors (approx. 100 m2 each) and offers excellent quality with heated oak flooring, spacious rooms, and comfortable furniture. The open-plan living/dining room has a lovely wood-burning stove in the centre, 2 sofas, satellite-TV and radio (English, German, and Spanish channels), DVD and CD player. The kitchen is well equipped with a large 5 ringed hob and oven, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, and a washing machine. There is also a cloakroom on this floor. On the first floor, you will find a large master bedroom with a double bed, walk-in wardrobe, and a luxury shower room with 2 washbasins, WC, bidet, and a towel warmer. The other two bedrooms consist of one double and one twin room, both sharing a spacious bathroom with an over bath shower, washbasin, WC, and bidet.

Note:
- The villa has its own environmentally friendly energy system (solar) that works perfectly, even on cloudy days. A low-noise generator is provided as a back-up. (It’s hardly ever used!).

Two retired couples opinion of Villa Cazorla 001

The property was beautifully presented and occupied a position providing privacy and outstanding views. All fixtures and fittings were of the best quality, all rooms were extremely spacious and comfortable. A minor problem with the stand-by generator caused concern, but it was quickly rectified by the local key holder. Access to the property was via a fairly narrow dirt road, but even after very heavy rain it was not a problem. A water pump which ran intermittently disturbed the sleep of a light sleeper. The swimming pool was excellent particularly after our long walks. Only one suggestion that chopping / bread boards be provided to protect work surfaces.

Thank you for your valuable comments, it is good to hear that you have enjoy7ed your stay. I have spoken with the owner about the water pump as it normally doesn't run at night. The owner has investigated and has informed us that there has been a problem with the automatic pool filling system was bobbing up and down in its chamber by the side of the pool, which made the pump run continuously. This has now been resolved. Regards the chopping boards: the owners arrived the week after you and stayed in the house. They also had trouble with the chopping boards, to the extent that they went and purchased another one, and then when they got back to the house with the new board and put it away in one of the draws in the kitchen, the found underneath some tea towels the two wooden chopping boards and one larger plastic one that used to be there... so those were hidden, probably by former guests. There should now be 4 chopping boards.

Geweldig huis, prachtige omgeving

Wij hebben 10 dagen genoten op deze prachtige plek. Houd je van rust en ruimte, een leven zonder buren dan is dit de ideale lokatie. Prachtige omgeving, gelegenheid volop om mooie tochten te maken en niet alleen voor wandelaars! Het huis is heerlijk, van alle gemakken voorzien en de tuin heeft verschillende hoeken om te genieten van het uitzicht, zo'n of schaduw. Wij hebben genoten! Karin

Een prima plek

De ligging van het huis is ronduit prachtig. Het is er heel erg stil en rustig. Heel mooi zwembad. Kwalitatief heel goed huis. De bedden zijn uitstekend. In Pozo Alcon is alles aanwezig wat je nodig hebt en de markt op maandagmorgen is echt een aanrader. Het nabij gelegen nationaal park maar ook het gebied ten zuiden van dit park kent prachtige natuurschoon. We hadden vanuit nederland een wandelkaart van dit park meegenomen. Deze kaart zou eigenlijk in het huis moeten liggen. De service van de sleutelmevrouw en de vertegenwoordiger van Casita Select was een 10.

Splendide maison, avec vu magnifique sur les montagnes

Maison confortable, où le mobilier est neuf et moderne. Il ya eu quelques coupures électriques, mais de courtes durée car un système de relais est mis en place. Piscine grande et propre. Vous avez une vue magnifique de chaque fenêtre, terrasse ou balcon. Il ya un coin barbecue, tout près de la piscine. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour, en toute tranquillité. En effet, aucun voisin à l'horizon, la maison est entouré d'arbres fruitiers et de jolies fleurs, qui dégagent des odeurs agréables. Nous envisageons d'y retourner l'année prochaine.

Très belle prestation en toute tranquillité

Nous avons été séduits par le calme et le confort de cette villa. Belle prestation, belle piscine, une cuisine tout confort et surtout une chambre parentale de haut standing. Une vue impressionnante, le réveil est surprenant et rayonnant de lumière. Maison située au cœur des oliviers sans aucun voisin en plein milieu des chemins de la Sierra Cazorla. Petit bémol : loin des grands axes autoroutiers mais des routes d'accès extraordinaires avec des paysages époustouflants. La personne en charge de nous accueillir est charmante et disponible. A faire et à refaire si on souhaite passer une semaine au calme dans un cadre idyllique. Merci.

Un havre de paix incroyablement beau

Nous avons passé deux magnifiques semaines dans cette maison au confort irréprochable. Une beauté. Tout était très bien, chambres, salle de bains, piscine,cuisine, extérieur. Rien à redire. Nous conseillons cette maison sans problème et n'hésiterons pas à revenir. Nous avions encore la nostalgie une semaine après être rentrés en France. Merci encore.

Waanzinnige mooie en fijne periode in Villa Cazoria

De zoektocht naar een mooi en rustig huis heeft bij ons lang geduurd. Maar we hebben het ook zeker gevonden. Een compleet huis met alles erop en eraan. Het is erg rustig en ligt midden in de mooie natuur. Door toeval hebben we veel contact gehad met de man die voor het zwembad en de stroom zorgt. Antonio, hij is ook onze held geworden. Het huis ademt een sfeer uit die elk mens rustig maakt en wij leefde echt in onze Spaanse droom. Rust, mooie weer, prachtig uitzicht en een super omgeving. In het dorp hadden we al heel snel contact en bijna elke dag gingen we even genieten op het terras. De eigenaar zorgde voor goede muziek en er was altijd een paar hapje voor ons. ( deze zijn gratis) en heerlijke wijn. Onze dagtochten waren niet verder dan 25 km ver en dan gingen lopen in de bossen en bezochten we de watervallen. Een grote tip: Sierra de Castril Natural Park of bezoek Baza een keer. Er is zoveel te zien dat we zeker nog een paar keer hier naar toe gaan. Wij hebben een TOP tijd gehad.

Maison agréable dans un site magnifique

2 semaines en juillet. L'accueil était très bien mais comme nous ne parlons pas espagnol et que les responsables de la maison parlaient à peine anglais, nous n'avons pas eu beaucoup de renseignements techniques. Nous avons appris par nous même à connaître le système d'alimentation en énergie et ses contraintes mais rien de grave. La maison n'est plus neuve et le ménage aurait pu être mieux fait mais rien de grave non plus. L'équipement est complet, les draps et serviettes sont impeccables, la maison est spacieuse et la piscine est de bonne taille. Il faut savoir que la maison est située au bout d'un chemin de terre et de pierres plus que chaotique et avec des pentes bien raides mais c'est le prix à payer pour savourer une tranquillité et un spectacle magnifiques et puis notre gros monospace a tenu le choc. Nous avons vu des gipaedes (rapaces) tous les jours et même une leçon de vol donné à 7 jeunes par les parents tout près. Très belles ballades autour et Grenade ou Cordoue possible.

Traumhafter Aufenthalt für Naturliebhaber in bezaubernder Finca

In der Villa Cazorla haben wir mit unseren beiden Kindern (junge Erwachsene) gerade einen unserer schönsten Urlaube erlebt ! Wenn man Naturliebhaber ist und einen selbstbestimmenden Urlaub bevorzugt, ist man hier genau richtig. In der bezaubernden Finca fehlt es an nichts - sehr geräumig und schön eingerichtet. Die Außenanlagen (Garten/Pool) sind gepflegt und weitläufig - unterschiedliche Ecken und Winkel laden zum Essen/Entspannen/Träumen ein. Der Rundum-Ausblick über den Naturpark ist atemberaubend; Wanderungen direkt ab Finca sind in jede Richtung möglich. Die Kontaktpersonen vor Ort sind sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit; Kommunikation klappt mit Englisch/Spanisch. Für Sight-Seeing, Wanderungen in anderen Naturparks oder auch Jeep-Safari sollte man allerdings stets längere Fahrtzeiten einplanen. Ein wunderschöner Urlaub - alle waren happy - sehr zu empfehlen !
