It's surrounded by a cherry orchard and situated at 5 kms from Torres, a pretty village that borders with the Sierra Mágina natural park. From one of its terraces you can enjoy glorious country views with mountain ranges as a backdrop. Inside, you'll find comfortable furniture.

Location and outside area

We think this is one of the best kept secrets of the Jaen province. Imagine a quiet hillside location with beautiful views set amidst a small cherry orchard. Then dream about a lovely garden with a tinkling fountain, an attractive private pool (8x4 m), many fruit trees—fig, walnut, pear, and cherry—joining their fragrance to the colourful plants and flowers such as hibiscus, geraniums, and roses. Isn’t that what we are all looking for? To add to the picture, you can enjoy your alfresco meals on the courtyard or on a terrace that overlooks the valley; a barbecue is provided. The house is a 5 minute drive from Torres (5 km), a small village for simple shopping opportunities, a few bars and a restaurant. The town of Mancha Real (15 km) provides you with more facilities whilst the historic city-centre of Jaen (31 km) is a must. You can also visit Granada (103 km) very easily where you will find the nearest airport. Nature lovers will want to hike in the Sierra Mágina Natural Park, famous for its rich olive oil and its mountain peak of 2,167 m.

Inside and lay-out

Although the house is set in a rural area, it is a relatively new construction with comfortable furniture. On the ground floor you’ll find an open-plan living/dining room with 2 sofas, an open fireplace, satellite-TV and DVD. There is a bar/kitchen area with a gas hob, refrigerator/freezer, microwave (no oven), dishwasher, and washing machine. On this floor there are 3 bedrooms (1 double and 2 twins) and a bathroom with an over bath shower and a wheelchair accessible shower room with shower, washbasin, and WC. On the first floor is a romantic double bedroom with an open fireplace. Additional amenities: table tennis, mobile electric heaters.

- A WiFi Internet connection is available (free of charge).
- Prices are based on an occupancy of 6 persons using 3 bedrooms (the 4th bedroom remains closed). A supplemental charge of 100 EUR per week applies for using the 4th bedroom (for occupancy of 7-8 persons).

Breathtaking location - lovely house - superb value

We came to this villa looking for sun and our own pool off the tourist trail in Spain - those were our only criteria. We left with wonderful memories a love of the beautiful Sierra Magina and a firm intention to return. The Villa is comfortable, very clean and well equipped. The three bedrooms, bathroom and small galley kitchen are all off a central large living/dining room. A converted garage houses the table tennis table with a further bathroom beyond. The Villa is located in the hills SSE of the charming little town of Torres and it is the secluded location and the views of the Sierra Magina which we loved most about this place. There's a lovely terrace in the welcome shade of a walnut tree where we ate almost all our meals. The private pool of which we had sole use is a decent size, about 8m x 5m, fairly deep throughout - 120cm at its shallowest and 180 at its deepest which was perfect for our three boys (5, 8 and 10) and gave them the encouragement to really improve their swimming. Nearby are the attractive towns of Baeza and Ubeda. But we felt that the Villa could well be a useful location from which to explore further afield. Most of all, we were superbly looked after by the owners, Juanna and Jesus - they could not have done more to make us feel welcome and help us enjoy our stay. We will be back.

Lovely private location with great views

Lovely private location with great views across to the hills across the valley. Cherries were ripe so almost unlimited quantities. Only one likely restaurant in the village but plenty more further afield.The several sitting areas in the garden mean that people can be by themselves if they wish. There's also shade in the garden for eating al fresco without getting scroched. If the weather is cool, as it was the first couple of days we were there, then there's plenty of wood for the woodburner stove in the evening.

A hidden Gem, tucked away in the hills, overlooking the whitewashed town of Torres

The villa is situated high up in the Sierra Maginas overlooking the lovely white washed town of Torres. If you are a nervous driver though beware because the roads are very narrow at times and extremely winding and a car is essential. Set off the beaten track, with stunning views, this villa offers peace and relaxation. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool and terraced area, barbecuing almost every night. The owners are lovely, and although they could not speak English we managed to communicate without much trouble. We went for two weeks but my husband and I could have stayed longer. Because it was so isolated and had no wifi though, 2 weeks was long enough for our 12 and 8 year old sons.
